.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBcvversions\fR will display the revision, build level and creation
date for the \fIFile System Manager (FSM)\fR and client subsystems of
the \fIXsan File System\fR.
.SH OPTIONS

Print a help/usage message and exit.
.IP "-F \fItype\fP"
If \fItype\fP is \fBtext\fP, cvversions emits version information in text format
(this is the default).
If \fItype\fP is \fBjson\fP, cvversions emits limited version information in a parsable JSON format.

.I file
is searched for a Xsan version string and, if found,
is printed in addition to the standard version strings.
If present in the argument, \fIid\fP is substituted for \fIfile\fP in the
program output.
